About me

Hello, my name is Stella and I live in beautiful Mid Devon.

I have lived in Devon all of my life. Before re-training to become a counsellor, I have worked for many years as a caseworker and advocate for people who find themselves in complex and challenging situations. Often my clients have been in crisis, overwhelmed, frightened, unable to see a light at the end of a tunnel. Due to my work history and personal life experiences, I understand the importance of being non-judgemental, kind, calm and empathetic.

I understand how difficult it can be for someone to work through feelings and emotions, to untangle the thoughts in their head, heart, and body. It can be painful to open up and face current struggles, sudden shocks and life changing events, childhood and past trauma, anxiety, stress, depression and try to overcome the hurdles which stand in your way to feel free and empowered.
